In October 2017, my family and I had a holiday in Borrowdale, Northern Lake District. The cottage we stayed in, named ‘The Smithy’, was a few miles south of Keswick on the Borrowdale road. Our second night there was clear skied so I decided to shoot some star trails. I simply walked out of the door of the cottage, crossed the road and accessed a field by a public footpath. All that remained was to point the camera toward the North Star. It turned out to be a great evening for Night Photography. This image took over 90mins to shoot on a very cold frosty night.
